CIVIL WEDDING
There are three locations for a Civil Wedding in Rome: the Sala Rossa at the Campidoglio, The Complesso Vignola Mattei at the Terme di Caracalla and the pretty Villa Lais. Each location offers a unique setting rich in Roman history and character. The ceremony itself lasts around 15 minutes and is officiated by the Mayor of Rome or an appointed delegate. It includes the formal reading of the civil marriage articles, and you’re welcome to personalize the moment with music, personal vows, or special readings. These venues are in high demand and typically need to be booked at least six months in advance.
CATHOLIC
When it comes to Catholic weddings in Rome, the eternal city offers endless possibilities – home to some of the world’s most breathtaking and historic churches. Whether you envision a grand basilica or a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of the city, there’s a perfect sacred space waiting for you.
All necessary religious documents must be sourced through your local parish priest, and I’ll be here to guide you through every step of the process – from paperwork to planning and coordination.
Most churches begin accepting reservations up to one year in advance, so early planning is key.
The options for Catholic ceremonies in Rome are endless, in fact in Rome you can find the most beautiful and ancient churches in the world.
All the religious documents must be obtained via the couple’s parish priest and I will be delighted to help you with the organization, co-ordination and providing you with all the information required.

SAME SEX
Wed in Rome is happy to serve all couples and are excited to help plan the wedding you have always wanted. Recent legislation in Italy allows for legal recognition for same sex marriages! We are more than happy to extend our services to provide same sex couples with the Italian wedding of their dreams. These weddings can take place at any of the three civil wedding venues and will have the same perks all Wed in Rome weddings receive. Wed in Rome believes in the celebration of love and our goal is to create a perfect day that couples will remember for the rest of their lives!

You can celebrate symbolic weddings everywhere— a beach, a villa, a castle, and more! These weddings can be officiated by a friend or family member, or one of our professional celebrants!
